  • Mutual Exploration in the Interview Process

    At NABLA Mobility, we view the interview process as an opportunity for a comprehensive mutual discovery. It's not merely about assessing your capabilities; it's about understanding your career aspirations, passions, and what drives you.     We firmly believe that one of the most gratifying rewards for outstanding individuals is the opportunity to collaborate with the brightest minds. Our commitment to fostering an environment where exceptional people can shine is our way of recognizing and celebrating their contributions.

  • The majority of our interviews are done over Google Meet or Zoom. These virtual interviews generally extend for 30 minutes or more. However, if you are located in Japan and prefer to meet in person, we are more than happy to accommodate your preference.

  • We want you to meet as many teammates as possible during the interview process to gain a deeper understanding of our team dynamics and the role you will undertake upon joining our team. However, due to our small team, we are not able to respond to every application.

    In general, we aim for candidates to interact with 4-6 team members throughout the process. Please note that the number of team members you meet may vary, and this variation is not indicative of your qualifications. Rather, we tailor the interview process to ensure it aligns with your specific needs and preferences while also minimizing any potential misunderstandings between us.


    Screening

    Our initial screening interview with HR (our People Team) is designed to get to know you better and understand your qualifications and interests. This conversation typically lasts around 30 minutes and serves as an opportunity for us to discuss your background, career goals, and alignment with our organization.


    Software Engineers

    As part of our evaluation process for software engineers, we incorporate algorithm challenges. During a designated segment of your interview, you will be given a case study that typically takes around 60-75 minutes to complete. It's important to note that our algorithm are not designed to test specific technical knowledge or engineering skillsets. Instead, they are crafted to reveal your problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. We are interested in understanding how you approach complex problems, analyze situations, and arrive at creative solutions.


    Designers

    As part of our designer evaluation process, we include design challenges. During this interview segment, you'll engage in several case studies, typically taking around 60 minutes. It's important to note that our challenges don't have definitive answers. Instead, they aim to assess your problem-solving skills and your capacity for critical and creative thinking within a supportive context. We're eager to understand how you approach challenges, analyze situations, and generate creative solutions.

  • How long does an application take?

    We understand that candidates are eager to receive feedback on their applications. Typically, you can expect to hear back from us within 2 weeks after the submission has been received. Our entire process from application submission to offer acceptance is typically around 1 month.
