Series A fundraising / Selected for NEDO’s GX Program

Tokyo, Japan. 1 May 2025, 10AM JST

NABLA Mobility Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku Tokyo; CEO: Shinji Tanaka; hereinafter “NABLA Mobility” or “Company”) is pleased to announce the successful completion of its Series A funding round, raising approximately JPY 400 million (USD 2.8 million) through a third-party allocation of new shares. In addition, NABLA Mobility has been selected for the STS (Seed-stage Technology-based Startups) phase of the Deep-Tech Startups Support Program in the Green Transformation field (“GX Project”) led by New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization ( “NEDO”). As part of this program, the Company is eligible to receive a grant of up to 400 million yen from NEDO.

In addition to existing investors – Incubate Fund, ITOCHU Technology Ventures, and Mitsubishi UFJ Capital – the Series A round was joined by new investors including Energy & Environment Investment, Yamaguchi Capital, and Yokohama Capital. With this latest round, the Company has raised a total of approximately JPY 800 million in equity financing since its founding in April 2021. The funds will be used to accelerate the development of our flight optimization software “Weave,” to develop new solutions for optimizing flight operation networks, and to expand our team through strategic hiring.

NABLA Mobility develops and delivers solutions that help airlines optimize their flight operations through advanced data analysis, AI/ML, and other technologies. Airline operations are susceptible to a wide range of disruptions – such as turbulence, air traffic congestion, operational delays, and variations in aircraft performance – which are still often addressed manually or based on the judgement of experienced personnel. Our solutions leverage AI/ML to predict these disruptions and irregularities, enabling more precise and reliable decision-making even under uncertain conditions.

To date, NABLA Mobility has focused on optimizing individual flight routes through its proprietary software “Weave.” With the support of NEDO's GX project, we are now expanding  development to a new product that enables optimization of the entire flight network across multiple aircraft. This initiative will not only enhance safety and passenger comfort, but also help reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, contributing to a more sustainable aviation industry.

NABLA Mobility remains committed to driving the decarbonization of global aviation by applying its expertise in AI/ML-powered prediction and optimization technologies to reduce fuel usage and promote greener flight operations.
