NABLA Mobility Inc. (Chiyoda-ku Tokyo, CEO: Shinji Tanaka, “NABLA Mobility”, “Company”) is pleased to announce that our proposed theme has been selected for the research phase of the JAXA Aviation Innovation Challenge 2022 — Powered by DBJ (the Program), held by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), in cooperation with the Development Bank of Japan Inc. (DBJ).
The program was initiated by the Aviation Technology Directorate of JAXA to seek new technologies, innovation, and ideas in global aviation, and strengthen the competitiveness of Japan's aviation industry. The program is an open innovation challenge that calls for ideas and technologies from various fields.
Under the program, NABLA Mobility has actively participated in a feasibility study focusing on the theme of “Algorithmic prediction of traffic congestion and interference along flight paths to improve operational resilience and decarbonization." Following a thorough review of the feasibility study results by experts from JAXA, DBJ, and other entities, we are delighted to announce our selection for the subsequent phase of the program—the research phase. During this collaborative research stage, NABLA Mobility will keep advancing our efforts with the backing of JAXA and DBJ to bring the results of the feasibility study into practical, societal implementation.
NABLA Mobility remains committed to leveraging our strengths in ML/AI-based predictive and optimization technologies to unravel the complexity of aviation operations. Through enhancing the operational resilience of airlines, we will continue to support the global aviation industry in its decarbonization efforts.
